Community Tennis for Health

Tennis isn’t just for people who want to be the next Wimbledon champion.

These free sessions in Poplar are designed for people who want to move more, feel better, and maybe have a bit of fun along the way. There’s no competition, no pressure, and no expectation that you’ll know what you’re doing. That’s exactly the point of these sessions.

Whether you’re living with a long-term health condition, haven’t exercised in a while, or just want to try something new, there’s a place for you here.

A Poplar resident plays tennis for the first time with Courtside Tower Hamlets coach, Lee.

We know that staying active makes a real difference to people's health, but finding something that feels approachable isn't always easy. When Lee came to us with this idea, it felt like exactly the kind of thing our community needed. We're glad Well One could help us spread the word and get local people excited to get involved.

I've always believed tennis is a sport anyone can enjoy, but too often people assume it's not for them. These sessions are about changing that. If you leave feeling like you've moved your body and had a good time, that's a win!
