Think Menopause

It's a natural part of a woman's life, but how much do you know about menopause?

This May, Well One is teaming up with women’s health organisations and leading menopause charities to offer women in Tower Hamlets a series of informative workshops on menopause awareness.

We want to create a supportive and inclusive environment where women can feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their experiences.

Our goal is to empower women with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing during this important stage of life.

During the sessions, we’ll cover topics such as:

  • Understanding the physical and emotional changes that occur during menopause
  • Exploring different treatment options for common menopause symptoms
  • Addressing common myths and misconceptions about menopause
  • Sharing tips for maintaining good health and wellness during and after menopause

We welcome all women to join our open and friendly conversations as we work together to challenge the taboos surrounding menopause, promote increased awareness and remind each other that we’re there for each other. #ThinkMenopause

HRT PPC (Prescription Prepayment Certificate

As of April 1st, 2023, women who need to pay for their prescriptions, and use HRT for menopause symptoms have been able to access a new scheme that allows them to get a year’s worth of medication for the cost of two single prescription charges  (which is currently £19.30).

This is part of the government’s effort to make HRT more affordable for menopausal women. The new scheme is called the PPC, which stands for Prescription Prepayment Certificate, and it will be valid for 12 months. With the PPC, women can get an unlimited number of HRT items such as patches, tablets, and topical preparations from a list of prescription items.
